The documentary
film "GIRL GONE BAD" is a wild ride into the extraordinary
world of female motorcyclists, an amazing group of women few people know
anything about, with hard-core biker Dusty, a native-born Apache,
ex-felon, ex-go-go dancer, and a single mother of three as our guide.
Whatever they’re
called - outriders and outlaws, club mamas, Dykes on Bikes, weekend
warriors, biker babes - each character we meet along the road struggles
to defy traditional stereotypes in the sexually charged world of
motorcycling, and in the process, establishes her own uncompromising
identity.
"GIRL GONE
BAD" has at its documentary heart the quest to understand the true
nature of freedom and self discovery. Filmmaker Louis Yansen, whose
previous award-winning dramatic feature film "MISPLACED" was
televised on PBS-TV/American Playhouse and screened at many film
festivals including London, Toronto, Hong Kong, Seattle, Deauville among
others, teams up with Robert DeMaio, editor of 1996 Sundance Film Festival's
Playboy Freedom of Expression Award winner "FEAR & LEARNING AT
HOOVER ELEMENTARY" to complete this provocative documentary film.
